About the procedure
What does it involve?
It combines a gastric sleeve and a single connection between the duodenum and a part of the small intestine.
It aims to maximize weight loss and improve conditions such as type 2 diabetes. It can also be used as a revision surgery.
Who may it be for?
Candidates are determined in an individual evaluation, based on body mass index (BMI), health conditions and each person's history.
This information is general and does not replace a medical evaluation. Each case is evaluated individually.
Other procedures
Gastric sleeve
Reduces the size of the stomach as part of obesity treatment, depending on each case.

Creates a new path for food, with an impact on weight loss and metabolic health, depending on each case.
Mini bypass
A simplified variant of the bypass, with a single intestinal connection point.
Endoscopic sleeve
A procedure with no external incisions, performed endoscopically.
Endoscopic bypass revision (TORe)
Endoscopic adjustment for patients regaining weight after a gastric bypass.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions about bariatric surgery
Who can be a candidate for bariatric surgery?
It depends on your body mass index (BMI), your health conditions and your history. That is why we first evaluate you in a consultation and decide together on the best option for you.
How much does the surgery cost?
The cost depends on the procedure we choose together. Write to us or call and we will explain your options during your initial evaluation.
How many days in the hospital are required?
We are pioneers in outpatient surgery. The surgeon and the team will tell you which option is right for you.
What is the difference between gastric sleeve and bypass?
The gastric sleeve reduces the size of the stomach, while the bypass also changes the path food takes through the digestive system. Each technique has different advantages and considerations; the most suitable one is defined in your individual evaluation.
